We’re Hiring: Vocational Rehabilitation Staff

Genesis Club, an intentional community which supports people recovering from serious mental illness, is hiring a Vocational Rehabilitation Staff.

Vocational Rehabilitation Staff work together with members to run all aspects of clubhouse operations, focusing on developing member strengths, talents and abilities.  Staff also share responsibilities for employment, education, housing, wellness, and social/weekend programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Member engagement. Staff and Members work together to run all aspects of the Clubhouse. Staff work continuously and intentionally on inclusion of Members in the work, creating opportunities for Members to builds skills, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose;
  • Genuine relationships. Community is the therapeutic intervention in the Clubhouse model, and community is built through genuine, respectful relationships that empower and promote recovery;
  • Core services. Staff assist Members to gain employment, return to their education, secure housing, work towards wellness, and create meaningful social connections.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in vocational rehabilitation, human services, psychology, social work or another related field.
  • Experience working directly with people with severe mental illness or familiarity with serious mental illness.
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful, relevant work experience
  • Working knowledge of language and culture from underserved communities in Worcester
  • Ability to thrive in a community setting where relationship- building is a priority, and multi-tasking is the norm
